The Seaward PAT Checkbox has been designed to provide a safe, simple and quick means of checking the calibration of Seaward PATs, to ensure accurate portable appliance testing. The Seaward PAT Checkbox will also check Portable Appliance Testers by Fluke, Martindale, Alphatek, Robin, Kewtech and many other PAT Tester from different manufacturers.

The new Edition 3 of the IEE Code of Practice states that the ongoing accuracy of the PAT tester should be checked at regular intervals:
“One method of assessing the on-going accuracy of test instruments is to maintain records, over time, of measurements taken from designated reference circuits or items of equipment such as a resistance box or voltage source” IEE Code of Practice 3rd Edition (Page 49 paragraph 10.6)

The Seaward PAT Checkbox is a useful tool in assuring the ongoing accuracy of your PAT tester.
It does not valid a Calibration Certificate but insures you that your PAT tester is still measuring accurately. This will also prevent any uncertainty of tests done throughout the year if your tester fails its calibration. The Seaward PAT Checkbox is compatible with all PAT Testers.
