Description

The Fluke 6500-2 PAT Tester is a sleek, sophisticated instrument that can perform tests on Class I appliances, Class II appliances and IEC/extension leads. It can execute a multitude of tests including earth bond testing, insulation resistance testing, and polarity checking. These basic features are supplemented by a high current 25A earth bond test and a 250V insulation test which is compatible with surge protection. Other tests include leakage current, load & run testing, and RCD testing.

Specific individual buttons on the Fluke 6500-2 trigger individual tests which means the tester is suitable for manual testing. An automatic test mode is also available for more rapid testing. There is a full QWERTY keyboard that can be used to enter appliance information to the onboard memory and the tester has enough space for 1000 test results.

Numerical test results and a PASS/FAIL indication are provided on the Fluke 6500-2’s vibrant colour display. It is possible to navigate through the menu-based operation and saved data on the tester using the direction buttons and files can be saved to a USB drive in order to be transferred to a PC. It is also possible to print hard copies and PAT labels using an optional Fluke SP6000 printer.
